President Serzh Sargsyan presented to the leadership of the RA Police the newly appointed Chief of Police

President Serzh Sargsyan presented to the leadership of the RA Police the newly appointed Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparian.

The President of Armenia noted that Alik Sarkissian has accomplished tasks he was assigned with, for which the President thanked him and informed those present at the meeting that Alik Sarkissian was appointed Adviser to the President. Regarding the appointment of new Chief of Police, Serzh Sargsyan underscored that in his opinion today the RA Police need a leader such as Vladimir Gasparian. He also expressed confidence that reforms in the Police will go on and our people will feel more protected.

Alik Sarkissian thanked for confidence and assistance provided to him during his tenure. He congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Police and wished him successful tenure.

Vladimir Gasparian ensured that reforms undertaken in the Police system will shortly be brought to their logical conclusion, tasks will be accomplished which will result in the strengthening of the rule of law in our society.
