The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan Tikahito Harada presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Tikahito Harada (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The President of Armenia congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him all the best. Noting, that Armenia attaches importance to the development and deepening of the Armenian-Japanese relations, Serzh Sargsyan mentioned with satisfaction certain invigoration, particularly in recent years, of political contacts and regular political consultations between the foreign offices of the two countries.

Serzh Sargsyan expressed hope that existing potential for cooperation in different areas will be fully utilized during Ambassador Harada’s tenure, contributing to the further strengthening of friendship between the two countries and peoples.

The newly appointed Ambassador of Japan Tikahito Harada thanked President Sargsyan for congratulations and wishes and assured that he would do his best to deepen the bilateral relations. He also noted, that next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Japan which could be a nice opportunity for the organization of various cultural events, development and implementations of cooperation programs in the economic area.
