President Serzh Sargsyan received today a delegation headed by the Secretary of the RF Security Council Nikolay Patrushev.

“I am glad that the Armenian-Russian allied relations are developing dynamically. The high level of our political dialogue, steady growth of the trade turnover, and close cooperation in the military, technical and humanitarian areas strengthen the Armenian-Russian friendship,” President Sargsyan said and expressed confidence that the visit of the Secretary of the RF Security Council will further promote relations between the two states.
Nikolay Patrushev assessed meetings and negotiations conducted in the framework of his visit as useful.

“At the meeting we spoke about our military and technical cooperation, as well as about the cooperation in the humanitarian area and in the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters. We also discussed a number of other issues.
Mr. President, Your frequent contacts with the leadership of Russia – President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, provide constant positive impulses and support the further development of the Armenian-Russian relations, and also the development of bilateral economic relations. I believe that our consultations, which are also of regular nature, contribute to the further strengthening of the relations between our countries,” Nicolay Patrushev, Secretary of the RF Security Council said.

At the meeting the parties spoke also about the regional issues and challenges, and the latest developments in the NK peace process.
