Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Erkki Tuomioja

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland Erkki Tuomioja.

The President welcomed the guest and underlined that Armenia attaches importance to its relations with the Scandinavian countries and particularly strives to strengthen and develop relations and cooperation with Finland.

According to the President of Armenia, our country highly appreciates Finland’s efforts and interest in the establishment of peace and security in the South Caucasus region and its balanced position towards the countries and problems of the region.

Foreign Minister Erkki Tuomioja spoke with satisfaction about the bilateral Armenian-Finish relations as well as about the dynamically developing cooperation in the framework of international organizations.

At the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of cooperation in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program.

They also exchanged views on the regional and international issues.
