President Sargsyan received the UN Resident Coordinator, UNDP Permanent Representative in Armenia Dafina Gercheva

 

President Sargsyan received today the UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Representative of the UN Development Program in Armenia Dafina Gercheva who is concluding her mission in our country.

The President of Armenia praised activities of the UN Office in Yerevan and personal work and contribution of Ms. Gercheva to the implementation of numerous UN programs aimed at Armenia’s development. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that the results of these programs undoubtedly contribute to the development in particular areas and to Armenia’s sustainable development in general.

The President of Armenia wished Dafina Gercheva all the best in her future work and expressed hope that regardless of where she will be working, she will remain Armenia’s friend.

The interlocutors underscored that since independence, Armenia has been actively participating in the works conducted in the framework of the United Nations and is cooperating efficiently with its numerous structures and units.
The UN Resident Coordinator, Permanent Resident of the UN Development Program in Armenia Dafina Gercheva thanked President Sargsyan and the Armenian Government for the support provided throughout her tenure and for the close cooperation during the implementation of various programs in different areas. She assured that was leaving Armenia with warm feelings, the greatest esteem for the Armenian nation, impressed with its history and culture.
