President Serzh Sargsyan visited the Yerevan Exhibition of Jewelry

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the Jewelry Exhibition at the Marriott Hotel in Yerevan. Presented at the exhibition are jewelry pieces from the Armenian as well as over 70 foreign companies. The exhibition has been attended also by the Chairman of the World Jewelry Confederation (CIBJO) Gaetano Cavalieri and Chairman of the Armenian Jewelers Association (AJA) Gagik Gevorkian.

The President of Armenia toured the pavilions of this traditional exhibition, observed the displayed pieces of jewelry, and conversed with the participants of the exposition.

At the conference, which will take place in Yerevan on October 30, discussed will be issues related to the development of the jewelry industry. At the conference, the RA Ministry of Economy will present proposals developed in the framework of the industrial policies aimed at the enhancement of exports and expansion of the areas of gold, diamond, and watch production, as well as possibilities of creation on the territory of the international Zvartnots airport of a free trade zone – also aimed at the development of the jewelry manufacturing area.
