President Serzh Sargsyan received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius

 

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received a delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius who has arrived to Armenia in the framework of his regional visit.

Besides the bilateral Armenian-Lithuanian relations, the President of Armenia and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania spoke also about the development of the Armenia-EU cooperation during the forthcoming presidency of Lithuania in the European Union and different issues related to the Lithuanian experiences of Eurointegration. In that context, President Sargsyan spoke with the guest about the qualitatively new level of the Armenia-EU relations, the process of negotiations with the EU in the framework of cooperation agenda, registered progress and implemented steps. The parties stressed the importance of developing cooperation in the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership program.

The President of Armenia and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius underscored the significance of strengthening the Armenian-Lithuanian interstate relations and enhancing of cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, such as defense, education, science, culture, as well cooperation of the two states in the international organizations.

At the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan and Linas Linkevičius spoke also about regional issues.
