President received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the First Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Karel Schwarzenberg.

The parties noted with satisfaction the invigoration of the Armenian-Czech relations and of the political dialogue which is attested by the opening in Yerevan and Prague of the Czech and Armenian Embassies, cooperation in the framework of international organizations, active conducts on the interparliamentary level.

Speaking about the possibilities of increasing the turnover between the two countries, the President of Armenia and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic stressed the importance of developing economic cooperation in the areas of mutual interest. In their opinion, it can be achieved through the frequent contacts between the business communities of the two countries. The interlocutors expressed hope that agreements reached in the framework of the Armenian-Czech Business Forum, which kicked off in Yerevan, will provide the sides with serious opportunities for increasing the turnover, carrying out joint programs and enhancement of investments.

Beside the bilateral relations, the parties discussed also issues related to the Armenia-EU cooperation, progress registered by Armenia in the Eastern Partnership program, which commenced in Prague, the NK peace process and regional developments.
