The newly appointed Ambassador of Lebanon to Armenia presented his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan

 

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lebanon to the Republic of Armenia Jean Makaron presented his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan.

The President congratulated the Ambassador on his nomination and wished him every success. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that the high-level reciprocal visits on the presidential level conducted between Armenia and friendly Lebanon in recent years and the active dialogue, have given a new impetus to the Armenian-Lebanese interstate relations and currently there are new programs and initiatives on the agenda of bilateral cooperation and the role of the Ambassadors of the two countries in their implementation is important.

The parties noted with satisfaction that the centuries-long friendship between the peoples of Armenia and Lebanon in the last two decades has translated also into close interstate relations; it is being manifested on different levels, in the framework of international structures and in the beneficial and dynamic cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest.

Ambassador Jean Makaron assured that during his tenure in office he would do his best to further strengthen and deepen the existing friendship between the two states and peoples.
