Newly appointed UAE Ambassador hands credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan

 

Newly appointed United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Armenia Seif Muhammad al Zaabi (residence in Tehran) presented today his credentials to President Serzh Sargsyan.

Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, the President wished him every success in his diplomatic efforts. Serzh Sargsyan and Seif Muhammad al Zaabi discussed ways of developing and furthering bilateral relations and cooperation in different fields of activity. The interlocutors stressed that the deeply rooted friendship between the Arab and Armenian nations and the warm relationship between the two heads of State have built up a solid basis for extensive political dialog.

The Armenian President and the UAE Ambassador stressed the importance of the forthcoming meeting of the UAE-Armenia intergovernmental commission, which will look at issues of mutual interest.

The need to activate diplomatic contacts was emphasized on either side.
