President received the Co-Chair of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Milan Cabrnoch

 

President Serzh Sargsyan received today the Co-Chair of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee Milan Cabrnoch.

The parties discussed issues related to the Armenia-European Union cooperation.

The President of Armenia underscored that active dialogue and contacts with the partners from the European community are having positive impact on Armenia’s rapprochement with Europe. Serzh Sargsyan underscored that Armenia is determined to continue institutional reforms, which constitute the core of the Armenia-EU relations, and is resolute to build a modern competitive state based on the European values. He said that along the way, we expect assistance of our European partners.

Milan Cabrnoch noted that the European Union considers Armenia an important country within the Eastern Partnership and will continue its assistance and cooperation for the development of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. He stressed the importance of future active work of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee for the deepening relations with Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed also regional issues and the NK peace process.
