Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin visited the 102nd Russian military base dislocated in Gyumri

 

President Serzh Sargsyan and RF President Vladimir Putin, who is in Armenia on a state visit, today visited the 102nd Russian military base dislocated in Gyumri. At the military base, the Presidents of the two countries listened to the reports of the Commander of the joint Armenian-Russian military unit and the Commander of the military base, visited the Russian Church on the territory of the base. Later, they observed the arsenal of the base, including some new installations, and listened to the report of the high command regarding the capabilities of the demonstrated military equipment.

The 102nd base is making its large contribution to the strengthening and development of the military cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation and is bringing its immediate and active participation to the joint events carried out by the Armed Forces of Armenia and Russia.

The two Presidents from Gyuri headed for Yerevan where other events on the agenda of the Russian President’s state visit to Armenia have begun.
