President Serzh Sargsyan received the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Russian company “Gazprom”

Today, President Serzh Sargsyan received the Chairman of the Management Committee of the Russian company “Gazprom” Alexey Miller.

At the meeting, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the current level and the development prospects of the Armenian-Russian energy cooperation. The President of Armenia and the Chairman of Gazprom’s Management Committee touched upon, inter alia, the collaboration in the gas sphere summing up the results of “HayRusgazard” joint venture’s activities over the recent years and spoke about the long-term projects of “Gazprom Armenia” company. At the meeting, Serzh Sargsyan and Alexey Miller also touched upon the course of the investment projects being implemented by Gazprom in the energy field of Armenia.

Stating that since 2002, they have succeeded in substantially raising the level of gasification in Armenia, the volume of gas consumption and the reliability of gas supply, the parties discussed issues regarding the subsequent joint actions, the gas tariffs and the price formation after Gazprom’s acquisition of the Armenian Government’s 20 percent share in HayRusgazard.
