President of France Francois Hollande will conduct state visit to Armenia



On May 12, on the invitation of President Serzh Sargsyan the President of the French Republic Francois Hollande will arrive in the Republic of Armenia on a two-day state visit.

In the framework of the visit, the Presidents of Armenia and France are to hold a one-on-one meeting followed by extended-format negotiations with the participation of the two countries' delegation members. As a result, documents on promoting and advancing the cooperation between the two countries in a number of sectors will be signed. Serz Sargsyan and Francois Hollande will sum up the negotiation results at a press conference. The Presidents of Armenia and France will also take part in an Armenian-French economic conference which will take place in the framework of President Francois Hollande's visit.

Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Francois Hollande will visit Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex, will lay a wreath at the memorial of the Armenian Genocide victims and will pay tribute to the memory of the Genocide victims.

Later on, the presidents will attend the concert of the famous chanson singer Charles Aznavour which will take place in Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.

At the Presidential Palace, a state supper will be held in honor of the President of France Francois Hollande arriving in the Republic of Armenia on a state visit.

In the framework of Francois Hollande's visit, in Yerevan the presidents of the two countries will participate in the opening ceremony of a park after the national hero of France and the eminent poet Misak Manushyan. In addition, the presidents are going to visit the construction site of the French company Carrefour's hypermarket where they will familiarize with the works being implemented.
