President received delegation headed by the Chairperson of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities Celene Craig

President Serzh Sargsyan received today delegation headed by the Chairperson of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA) which has arrived to Armenia to participate at the 44th session of the Platform held in Yerevan on October 19-21.

The national commission on television and radio became a full member of the EPRA in 2011. The EPRA, which is Europe’s largest, prestigious and non-political platform which comprises 52 regulatory bodies from 46 states, is seeking to become an accessible platform for information, protection of intellectual and adjacent rights, freedom of speech in the realm of media, and exchange of best practices.

At the meeting, the President of Armenia and representatives of the EPRA exchanged views on the topics discussed in the framework of the agenda of the session as well as the opportunities for developing cooperation between the bodies regulating this area in Armenia and the European platform.
