President Armen Sarkissian received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Syria

President Armen Sarkissian received today the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Syria to the Republic of Armenia Mr. Mohammed Ahmad Haj Ibrahim.

The parties praised the friendly relations between Armenia and Syria and expressed hope that peace and stability will eventually be established in Syria.

They stressed the important role of the Syrian-Armenian community in the bilateral relations, which comprise an indivisible part of the Syrian society, and has been for decade bringing its contribution to the development of the country. The Syrian Ambassador assured that the Armenian community, which enjoys great respect in his country, has always been and will remain in the focus of attention of the Syrian authorities.

The President of Armenia and Ambassador of Syria exchanged also views on Armenia’s internal situation.
