Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia congratulated President Sarkissian

Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia His Holiness Kirill sent a congratulatory message to President Armen Sarkissian.

The message states:

“Your Excellency,

Distinguished Mr. President,

Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on this momentous event – your 65th birth anniversary.

Through the dedication to scientific work and public activities, you have earned great reputation in wide public circles which is testified to by your election to the high office of President.

I anticipate your attention towards the needs and aspirations of the Russian Orthodox Church community on the territory of Armenia which is united by Patriarchal piety. I believe that through your practical assistance, the traditionally good relations between the Armenian Apostolic Church and Russian Orthodox Church will develop, promoting the establishment in people’s lives of high moral values, principles of solidarity, and mutual understanding.
