President Armen Sarkissian visited the National Polytechnic University of Armenia
President Armen Sarkissian visited today the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Accompanied by the rector of the NPUA Vostanic Marukhian, President Sarkissian toured the research, education, excellence centers and engineering laboratories. He, in particular, familiarized with the devises designed by the students at the research center of aeronautic robotics, learned about programs of the center, toured the workshop and conversed with the students working in the lab.
The President also toured the centers of excellence Tashir Kaskad Holding –HAPH, Schneider Electric Tashir HAPH which are operating through the financial support of different organizations, the regional educational center for nuclear safety, the nuclear energy specialized computer, robotics, communications and telecommunications labs.
At the conclusion of the visit, President Sarkissian met with the leadership of the University and students and responded to their questions. He said he was impressed with what he saw: “What I have seen has exceeded my expectations, it is brilliant; on the other hand, we can do even more. In the 21st century new technologies is our road towards development and your University is one of the pivots to get there,” President Armen Sarkissian underscored.
The President welcomed the fact that students from other educational establishments, who are interested in high technologies, are also engaged here and stressed the importance of cooperation among universities.
President Sarkissian expressed readiness to assist in establishing partnership with international institutions, scientific centers and in attracting experts from abroad.
