President met with leaders of a number of major French companies

President Armen Sarkissian in Paris met with the leaders of a number of major French companies.

President Sarkissian met with the leadership of THALES - one of the leading companies in the area of aeronautics.

The parties reached agreement that a high-level delegation of the company will participate at the Business Forum on October 10 to be held in the framework of the Summit of the International Organization of Francophonie in Yerevan.

President Sarkissian stressed the importance of the active and vigorous participation of renowned French companies in the works of the Forum.

At the meeting with the leadership of the Orano Company, which specializes in the area of nuclear and renewable energy, President Armen Sarkissian discussed issues related to the Company’s activities in Armenia.

The parties concurred that it is necessary to expand the Company’s presence in our country, particularly, in the activities related to the upgrading the security level of the Armenian Nuclear Power Station.

At the meeting with the leaders of the ADS company, President Armen Sarkissian spoke about the business climate in Armenia and attractiveness of the country for investments, present potential for cooperation. The parties agreed to establish in Armenia a regional center for financial services.

The President of Armenia met also with the leadership of Sodial Company which specializes in food stuff exports.

At the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for cooperation. In particular, they agreed that a delegation from the Company will visit Armenia to study the food production area of the country and export opportunities.

Speaking about competitive advantages of our country, President Sarkissian proposed to use opportunities existing in Armenia as a getaway to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Area.
