Armen Sarkissian: We anticipate close cooperation with our partners

President Armen Sarkissian received today the delegation headed by the European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn. President Sarkissian hailed the assistance of the European Union to the democratic processes in our country and expressed confidence that the visit would have a positive impact on the further deepening of the cooperation.

“I believe today will be much more practical to speak not of the past but of the future,” President Armen Sarkissian underscored and continued, “Every day – today, tomorrow eventually becomes past, and we need to work hard to make every day better, or we will be wasting the most precious thing the humanity has – the time.”

Johannes Hahn in his turn noted that he attaches great importance to the EU-Armenia relations and has come to learn about the forthcoming programs and understand how he can help.

President Sarkissian suggested to pay special attention to the programs of the 21st century aimed at the technological development. He underlined that it was not only about the information technologies but about the use of artificial intelligence in different areas.

Noting that he wants Armenia to become a modern and dynamic state, President Armen Sarkissian said, “Whatever we do in any area should be of high quality. On this, we anticipate the assistance of our partners and close cooperation with them.”
