The newly appointed Ambassador of Romania to Armenia presented his credentials to President Sarkissian

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the Republic of Armenia Cornel Ionescu presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.

The President congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success. President Sarkissian said that he was anticipating active works for expanding the mutually beneficial cooperation and deepening the bilateral relations.

The President of Armenia and Ambassador of Romania spoke about the invigoration of the bilateral economic ties and the necessity to take mutual steps to give a boost to this area. They stressed in particular more dynamic relations between the businessmen of the two countries, discovery of each others’ capacities and efficient use of the existing potential. In this context they stressed the importance of the air link between Armenia and Romania and the recently established Bucharest-Yerevan direct flight.
