President Sarkissian received the Chief Executive Officer of International at HSBC: HSBC’s entry into the Armenian market had a great impact on the formation of the financial and banking system
President Armen Sarkissian received today the Chief Executive Officer of International at HSBC Bank for Europe and Africa Christopher Davies and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank Armenia Paul Edgar.
The President welcomed the guests and hailed the activities of the Bank in Armenia. He noted that the entry of the Bank, which is functioning in line with high international standards, to Armenia at the beginning of 1990s had a great impact on the formation of the financial and banking system of the country and on the shaping of the relevant business culture. “We appreciate the input of your Bank, and it is important that it continues its works in Armenia,” the President of Armenia noted.
Christopher Davies in his turn said that HSBC has introduced in Armenia the best practices and the Armenian team of the Bank is considered to be one of the most professionally trained ones.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the activities of the HSBC and HSBC-Armenia and the forthcoming programs.
