President Armen Sarkissian received members of the US House of Representatives Jackie Speier and Judy Chu

President Armen Sarkissian received today members of the House of Representatives Jackie Speier and Jude Chu. The President hailed their activities at the US Congress and expressed gratitude for their efforts in favor of Armenia and Artsakh.

Representatives Jackie Speier and Judy Chu informed President Sarkissian on the purpose of their visit and meetings they have had so far and noted that in the framework of the visit they have been also in Artsakh. They conveyed to President Armen Sarkissian their readiness to support the democratization processes in Armenia, establishment of durable peace in Artsakh and sustainable financial assistance.

At the meeting ideas were exchanged on the deepening of the Armenian-American relations in different areas. President Sarkissian introduced Presidential initiatives to the guests and particularly the ATOM project which is aimed at the scientific and technological development of the country. They also discussed opportunities of cooperation in the cultural field.
