President Sarkissian received the Chairman of the Georgian Partnership Fund: the time has come for Armenia and Georgia to implement joint programs

President Armen Sarkissian hosted today the Chairman of the Georgian Partnership Fund Davit Saganelidze. Present at the meeting was also the CEO of the Armenian State Interests Fund David Papazian.

Davit Saganelidze present to the President of Armenia the activities of the Fund and noted that the purpose of the Fund created by the state is to assist the investors and facilitate a number of procedures for them. The Fund provides assistance also to the projects implemented in the areas of energy, logistic infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, food production and supply, real estabe, and high technologies. It was noted that the areas and opportunities for cooperation were discussed with the Armenian State Interests Fund.

President Sarkissian hailed the steps aimed at the deepening of cooperation with the friendly Georgia and underscored that he was ready to bring his assistance to the efforts aimed at the mutually beneficial cooperation. “The time has come for us to implement joint projects, combine our efforts, produce jointly a high-quality product in the area of high technologies, agriculture, or any other area and enter the markets of other countries. It’s time that we - two neighboring and friendly states take up this task more vigoursly,” the President of Armenia noted.

The interlocutors said that they see great potential for cooperation in the areas of agriculture, high technologies, food production and supply, tourism, and some others.
