Newly appointed Ambassador of Slovenia presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian: Armenia and Slovenia as small but successful countries have a strong base for expanding the relations

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to the Republic of Armenia Tomaz Mencin (residence in Kiev) presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulate the Slovenian Ambassador on assuming the position, wished him success and expressed confidence that through his active work he would promote the Armenian-Slovenian relations.

Ambassador Mencin in his turn noted that he would do his best to deepen and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

President Sarkissian noted that Armenia and Slovenia as small but successful countries have good relations and a strong base for expanding them.

Stressing the importance of invigorating the cooperation, the President of Armenia said that trade and economic relations were not development sufficiently, didn’t correspond to existing potential while there were multiple opportunities to move them forward.

The interlocutors concurred that the two countries could cooperate successfully in the areas of science, education, modern technologies, especially in the areas of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
