At the invitation of President Armen Sarkissian, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Hashimi of Jordan has arrived to Armenia on official visit

Today, at the invitation of the President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, King Abdallah II Ibn Al-Hussein Al-Hashimi for the first time has arrived to Armenia on official visit.

The delegation of King Abdullah II comprises the brother of the King His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein, advisor on religious and cultural issues and personal envoy His Royal Highness Prince Ghazi bin Muhammed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan Ayman Safadi, King’s advisor on Communication and Coordination issues Bisher Al Khasawneh, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Tariq Hammouri.

At the Zvartnotz international airport of Yerevan the high guest was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigorian.

King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein is highly respected in the Islamic world; he is a representative of the Royal Hashemian dynasty from the 41st generation of Prophet Muhammad, and was crowned on February 7, 1999.

Abdullah II is the Custodian of the Christian and Islamic holy sites of Jerusalem.
President Sarkissian and King of Jordan met in April 2019, during President Sarkissian’s working visit to Jordan. The President of Armenia invited the King of Jordan to visit Armenia.
