President Armen Sarkissian met with the Head of the Food Safety Inspectorate: stressed was the importance of enhancing control on food safety and sanitary conditions at the eateries

President Armen Sarkissian had a working meeting with the Head of the Government’s Food Safety Inspectorate Georgi Avetissian.

At the meeting discussed were works of the Inspectorate and issues related to the processes aimed at ensuring food safety in Armenia. The Head of the Food Safety Inspectorate introduced the areas of the Food Safety Inspectorate’s activities.

The President stressed the importance of enhancing the control over food, sanitary and hygienic conditions of the eateries conditioned by the epidemic of a new coronavirus in the world.

Highlighting as a priority food security of the country, President Sarkissian in that context stressed the importance of making Armenia a regional hub for food security and spoke about his ongoing discussions with the heads of some states and specialized international organizations.
