At the instruction of the President of Armenia the Presidential Administration continues to provide social assistance to the elderly and families residing in the border areas

At the instruction of President Armen Sarkissian, the Presidential Administration during the coronavirus pandemic continues to implement social assistance programs focusing on the elderly and families residing in the border areas.

Recently, in one of his interviews President Sarkissian noted in particular that medical supplies received from China, part of which is a personal gift to the President of Armenia, including masks, the Presidential Administration would distribute among the residents of assisted living homes. At this stage, the Presidential Administration have distributed masks in Yerevan, Gyumri and Akhurian community of Shirak marz, as well as assisted living homes in Abovian, 21 centers for elderly of the Mission Armenian organization in Yerevan and regions, over all to 2000 old people.

To encourage distant learning in marzes, the Presidential Administration, at the initiative and instruction of the President, continues to allocate electronic devices to the schoolchildren who live in border areas. This time tablets, food packages, and essentials were provided to a number of families in Voskevan, Koti, Dovegh villages of Tavush marz.

In Berkaber village of Tavush marz representatives of the Homeland Defender initiative of the Presidential Administration visited the Khudaverdian family whose home was damaged as a result of shelling by Azerbaijanis. They gave gifts to the children of the family and conveyed words of support from President Sarkissian who assured that he holds their problems in the center of his attention.

Social programs of the Presidential Administration will continue.
