President Armen Sarkissian met with the Executive Director of the Izmirlian Medical Center Armen Charchian: every effort and resource should be used to overcome this situation

President Armen Sarkissian continues his meetings with representatives of the healthcare area in particular to discuss opportunities to prevent and contain the coronavirus pandemic. Today, President met with Armen Charchian - Executive Director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, one of the major medical institutions of the Republic.

At the meeting, discussed were issues pertinent to the opportunities to contain the epidemic and possible solutions, and in this context, difficulties existing in the healthcare system. Director of the Center informed the President on the measures taken in the Izmirlian Center, presented his approaches and proposals related to the fight against the pandemic.

Underscoring the importance of withstanding the epidemic, the interlocutors agreed that the strategy related to the healthcare area with precise guidelines for development and prognosis will help in the future to be more prepared for this type of pandemics. They also stressed the importance of emerging from the situation created by the pandemic with minimal human and economic losses. President Sarkissian noted that every effort and resource should be used to overcome this situation together, through joined efforts.
