President Armen Sarkissian visited Armenia Wine factory

President Armen Sarkissian visited Armenia Wine factory located in Sasunik community in Aragatsont marz.

President Sarkissian toured the factory, conversed with the employees, familiarized with the production capacities of the Company, investments, programs for the factory’s development and with the problems conditioned by the existing situation.

Noting that the history of Armenia Wine production started back in 2006, when first private gardens were established in Armavir marz, the co-founder of the Company Vahagn Mkrtchian informed that to provide a high quality production, the most advanced world technologies for wine and brandy production were being introduced for years, and today their production is exported to multiple countries. Armenia Wine Company has already undertaken the development of organic agriculture in Armenia and planted organic grapes orchards. Vahagn Mkrtchian said that they are striving to develop rich Armenian wine making traditions and culture, make the Armenian wine compatible on international markets and, considering President Sarkissian’s experience and knowledge, would like to know his opinion on the development of the area, expansion of export markets, and opportunities to make the Armenian wine more recognizable in the world.

The President of Armenia underscored that success of this kind of companies is our country’s success and promised within the scope of his abilities to assist in the development of this area.
In honor of President Sarkissian, a barrel of brandy with his name was sealed in the factory.
