President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador, the staff of the Embassy and in their person all people of China on the forthcoming national holiday – the 71st anniversary of the creation of the People’s Republic of China and sent his best wishes to President Xi Jinping.

“I agree that our present is determined by our past and future. We always look back to see where we come from, and it is also important to know where we are headed to and whom with we want to travel that road. We are united by future, and the future of humankind is modern technologies. Armenia can cooperate with China in this area,” President Sarkissian said. “I would be glad to bring my small contribution to the development of the Armenian-Chinese relations in the area of modern technologies.”

President Armen Sarkissian thanked the Ambassador for his years-long efficient work and his contribution to the development and strengthening of the Armenian-Chinese relations. He viewed the construction of the new premise of the Embassy as a bright example of that work. “I believe China might be proud of such presence. And we view this as China’s claim to deepen the Armenian-Chinese relations and elevated them to a new level. Despite the difference in sizes, Armenia and China have many things in common: both are in a sense global nations,” President Sarkissian said.

The President of Armenia assessed as promising for the cooperation of the two countries not only the area of technologies but also in a number of other fields, from food security to agriculture, natural resources to education and culture. “In the future world all areas will be full of technologies. Cooperation between Armenia and China in the areas of science and research has broad opportunities and great potential,” President Sarkissian said.

The President of Armenia also toured the premise of the newly-constructed Embassy.
