President Armen Sarkissian met with the Ambassador of Russia

President Armen Sarkissian met today with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin. At the meeting discussed was the situation in the region, Armenian-Russian bilateral relations.

The interlocutors expressed their concern with the tension on the borders of Armenia and in the Karabakh conflict zone and stressed the importance of the immediate cessation of hostilities.

Stressed was also the importance of the joint statement made by the president of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs – Russia, France and United States.
