The newly-appointed Ambassador of Canada to Armenia presented her credentials to President Armen Sarkissian

Today, the newly-appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Armenia Alison Mary LeClaire (residence in Moscow) presented her credentials to President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulated the Ambassador on entering the diplomatic service in our country and wished her fruitful activities. The President expressed confidence that the newly-appointed Ambassador will invest her efforts and abilities to develop mutually beneficial cooperation between the two friendly countries. "Although our countries are geographically far from each other, we have great opportunities for cooperation," said the President of Armenia.

Ambassador LeClaire noted that she was honoured to represent Canada in Armenia. "I am looking forward to continuing strong and friendly relations with your country. I want to note that we are committed to support Armenia in these difficult times," she said.

President Sarkissian touched upon the consequences of the Azerbaijani-Turkish military aggression against Artsakh and in that context, the current situation in the country.
