The relations between Armenia and Bulgaria have always been built on strong historical and cultural ties and friendship. The newly appointed Ambassador of Bulgaria presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian

Today, Kalin Anastasov, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Republic of Armenia presented his credentials to the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian.

The President of the Republic congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success. The relations between Armenia and Bulgaria have always been built on strong historical and cultural ties between the two peoples and traditional friendship; the thirtieth anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries is next year.

Ambassador Anastasov said that he would make every effort to promote bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.

Emphasizing that the Armenian-Bulgarian relations have a great potential for development, President Sarkissian noted that he expects that the Ambassador would contribute to its realization through his active work.

Ambassador Anastasov handed President Sarkissian a letter from the President of Bulgaria, in which Rumen Radev reaffirmed his invitation to the President of Armenia to pay an official visit to Bulgaria.

The President of the Republic and the Ambassador of Bulgaria touched upon the agenda of bilateral relations, noting that there are great opportunities for implementing joint programs.
