The unreserved responsibility of the state and state structures is especially significant in the current situation. President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian

Dear compatriots,

These days, all our attention is, naturally, focused on the border: Azerbaijan's armed forces violated the border of the Republic of Armenia in Syunik and Gegharkunik, and illegally stationed on the territory of our country for several days now.

In the current situation, the unreserved responsibility of the state and state structures is especially significant to bring the country out of the crisis, particularly in the issues of security.

I urge the RA Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and the National Security Service to make every effort within the framework of their functions and take the strictest measures against encroachments threatening the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and border violations.

It is much important to apply our diplomatic arsenal in all its power. It is necessary to strengthen Armenia’s international prestige and deepen the cooperation and allied relations with our foreign partners. A realistic and targeted agenda must underlie these relations. It is necessary to launch the entire toolkit of traditional and public diplomacy, to involve the Diaspora, and to use all the resources.

Our current situation, actions and response should be clear and explicit to our international partners.

The public should be timely and accurately informed about the processes taking place, and be confident that they are secure, and the state carries out its functions, independent of political or other factors.

Dear compatriots,

In the present situation, national unity is again imperative: Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora. Only thus, we can resolve security, economic, domestic, and all other problems. In the present situation, national unity is again imperative: Armenia, Artsakh, and the Diaspora. Only thus, we can resolve security, economic, domestic, and all other problems. We must realize that we have the border, and that is the border of our Homeland.

As a state and a nation, we must have one all-state and all-national agenda. Every one of us in Armenia, Artsakh, or in the Diaspora must act within that common agenda. Only a strong, stable, united, and consolidated Armenia can present and defend the interests of Armenia, Artsakh, and the Armenian people.
