On the Children's Rights Protection Day, children from the families who moved to Armenia from Syunik, Tavush, and Gegharkunik border communities, as well as from Chalet Gyumri, and Hadrut and Kashatagh regions of Artsakh, were hosted at the President’s Residence.

Before visiting the President’s Residence, the children watched the Armenian "Olympicos" cartoon in one of the cinemas of the capital, on the initiative and support of the Office of the President. They spent the second half of the day at the President’s Residence: they played games and quizzes, made pottery, did some painting and even scientific experiments, and then watched an interactive performance.

The President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian met with the children, their teachers and parents. The President talked to them, got acquainted with the children's skills, watched their work, and inquired about their impressions. "I am very glad to see you ," said the President of the Republic, congratulating the little guests, "There are many familiar faces, faces I have met in Gyumri, Syunik, Gegharkunik, and Tavush. You are most precious and invaluable not only for your grandparents, fathers, and mothers but also for our whole country and people. You are our future. You are the most sincere and honest citizens of Armenia. I want to advise you to stay that way throughout your life, be honest and sincere. You will grow, everything will be in your life: work, success. But never lose the most valuable thing you have today, your sincerity and honesty.”

The President noted that every time meeting with the children gives him new energy and enthusiasm, and expressed hope that the children will also leave the President’s Residence with positive energy and good impressions. He wished the children to be honest, strong and patriotic, and to love their homeland, like the cartoon hero they watched, the Armenian King and Olympic champion Varazdat.
