It is possible to do more for the development of Armenian-Australian relations. The newly appointed Ambassador of Australia to Armenia presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian

Today, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to the Republic of Armenia Graeme Meehan (residence in Moscow) presented his credentials to President Armen Sarkissian.

President Sarkissian congratulated and wished the newly appointed Ambassador success, expressing confidence that he would make every effort to intensify bilateral relations. The President of Armenia noted that the two friendly countries have a great potential for developing cooperation, and more can be done for the promotion of the Armenian-Australian relations. President Sarkissian particularly singled out the spheres of science, high technologies, culture, and tourism.

The interlocutors agreed that the Armenian community in Australia is a unique bridge between the two countries and plays a significant role in expanding bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Graeme Meehan noted that he is ready to do everything possible to strengthen and deepen the ties between Armenia and Australia.
