President Sarkissian presented Armenia’s economic and investment opportunities to the heads of several well-known international companies

In the evening of September 16, the President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian, who is on a working visit to Chamonix, France, within the framework of the Summit of Minds, had a working meeting with more than two dozen well-known international companies, foundations and organizations participating in the Summit (including Google, Cargill, Nestlé, Revolution, Highgate, OneRagtime).

The meeting was a unique opportunity to present Armenia's economic potential, spheres with significant development potential, and directions of interest for cooperation.

In his speech, the President of the Republic touched upon the business environment in Armenia, attractive spheres for investments, and investment opportunities.

Speaking about the difficulties and challenges caused by the coronavirus pandemic and the war, President Sarkissian particularly said that it is necessary to find the right ways-out of the current situation, create conditions to develop the economy, and identified the most promising spheres with serious opportunities for development.

Answering the businessmen’s questions, President Sarkissian presented his vision of a strong Armenia of the future. For this, it is necessary to make use of the greatest advantage of the Armenian nation, i.e. human resources, putting the entire potential of Armenia and the Armenians at the service of developing the country.

As one of the significant competitive advantages of our country, President Sarkissian emphasized its role of bridging the European Union and the Eurasian Economic Union, which offers new and serious chances for foreign businessmen and investors.

The President noted that within the limits of his authority, he is ready to support as much as possible those companies and businessmen that are interested in cooperation with Armenia.

President Sarkissian invited the participants of the meeting to take part in the "Third Armenian Summit of Minds" scheduled for October 23-24 in Dilijan, Armenia.
