President Armen Sarkissian and Professor Aram Saharyan discussed the training programs of young Armenian physicists in Singapore

The President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian met with Doctor of Physical- Mathematical Sciences, Professor Aram Saharyan, Head of the Chair of Theoretical Physics named after Academician G. Sahakyan at the YSU Faculty of Physics.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects for the development of science and technology in our country. Aram Saharyan provided the President with information on the implemented programs and activities.

President Sarkissian spoke about his recent working visit to Singapore in the framework of which he attended the Singapore National University, as well as the University Centre of Quantum Technologies and Nobel Prize Laureate, physicist Konstantin Novosyolov’s Laboratory, met with the leadership of the University and the Centres, and reached an agreement on implementing exchange programs of young specialists and cooperating with the Faculty of Physics at the YSU.

Emphasizing the importance of implementing training programs for young Armenian specialists in the world's leading scientific-educational and technological centres, President Sarkissian expressed hope that effective cooperation would be established between YSU and the National University of Singapore.
