President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of Armenia-France Friendship Group in the French Senate
Today, President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation led by Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Head of the France-Armenia Friendship Group of the French Senate.
Welcoming the delegation’s visit to Armenia, the President emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits, noting, that it gives new impetus to the Armenian-French bilateral agenda. The President noted, that he highly appreciates the activity of the Friendship Group and the contribution they have in the development of 30-year relations between our states.
President Khachaturyan noted that the Armenian people have always felt the attention and support of friendly France. The President expressed his gratitude to the French Senate for the adoption of the historic resolution on the recognition of Nagorno Karabakh, which is of great importance for Artsakh as a momentous guarantee of the security of the Armenians of Artsakh.
Both sides emphasized the importance of the implementation of the 2021-2026 Armenian-French cooperation roadmap aimed at expanding Armenian-French cooperation and supporting economic development, which was signed in Paris last year.
During the meeting, at the request of the members of the France-Armenia friendship group in the French Senate, Vahagn Khachaturyan presented the powers and activities of the President under the conditions of the parliamentary government system.
