President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of envoys of the Eastern Partnership
President Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of special envoys of the EU and EU member states on Eastern Partnership.
The President welcomed the visit of the envoys to Armenia and emphasized the importance of continuous and multi-layered development of Armenia-EU partnership.
The President noted that Armenia consistently carries out the obligations the country undertook within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program, aimed at ensuring the welfare of our citizens, combatting corruption, increasing the government efficiency, enhancing the protection of human rights and implementing reforms in various social and health fields.
During the meeting, the President presented to the EU delegates the regional realities and processes, security issues, touched upon the Azerbaijani aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, 2022, and attached importance of having an OSCE needs assessment mission in Armenia.
In his speech, President Khachaturyan noted that Armenia’s principled position is to establish peace in the region and friendly relations with the neighboring countries.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged thoughts on the process of demarcation and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the importance of regional peace and the current stage of the Armenian-Turkish dialogue.
