President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt Gunnar Schellenberger

President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the President of the Landtag of Saxony-Anhalt Gunnar Schellenberger in Berlin.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities and existing potential for cooperation in the areas of mutual interest including agriculture, trade, and culture.

President of the Landtag highlighted that a number of joint agricultural projects are presently underway, particularly in Armavir region, and these projects have a tendency to expand.

President of the Republic of Armenia attached importance to such initiatives that contribute to the decentralized development of various sectors of the country's economy and expressed his willingness to support their implementation to the best of his ability.

During the discussion, both sides emphasized the need to exercise the great potential of cooperation in the field of culture, education, agriculture among others.

Toward the end of the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue effective working contacts.
