President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the working discussion with construction sector representatives

 President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan along with the Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan participated in the working discussion held with the representatives of the construction sector.

In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of involving private construction companies in the large-scale construction projects envisaged by the Five-Year Action Plan of the Government.

In particular, the President noted: "The large-scale construction works initiated by the Government in the Five-Year Action Plan imply that our construction companies should become specialized. After familiarizing yourselves with these programs and directions, you should decide where you can have your input. The state has the financial resources, and is also ready to apply various economic mechanisms based on your suggestions, and create an opportunity for the construction industry to finally become well established in Armenia. The objectives set by the government are clear, namely ensuring compliance with time and quality requirements in order to be able to conduct such large-scale construction works."

The representatives of the construction companies voiced their concerns freely and openly during the meeting. The directions of cooperation between private construction organizations and the government, existing issues and pathways to address them were discussed.
