President of the Republic received the Ambassador of Uruguay to Armenia

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan, on the occasion of the completion of the diplomatic mission, received the ambassador of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay to Armenia, Eduardo Rosenbrock Bidart.

Welcoming the ambassador, the President thanked him for his contribution to strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries during his diplomatic service and expressed hope for the further expansion of cooperation between Armenia and Uruguay.

Ambassador Eduardo Rosenbrock Bidart expressed gratitude for the reception and for the hospitality and support extended by the Armenian side during his diplomatic mission.

During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to the potential for cooperation between the two countries in the fields of digitalization, high technologies, and several other sectors were discussed. The importance of high-level bilateral visits and the promotion of parliamentary diplomacy was emphasized in the context of developing continuous cooperation. In this regard, the establishment of resident embassies in both countries was highly valued, which reflects the commitment to strengthening cooperation and political dialogue between Armenia and Uruguay.

The sides highlighted the importance of effective cooperation between the two countries in international platforms and stressed the necessity of establishing lasting and stable peace in the region based on the fundamental principles of international law.

In this context, the President of the Republic noted that Armenia is moving forward with a peace agenda, to which the ambassador responded by emphasizing Uruguay’s principled position in supporting efforts aimed at peace to the fullest.
