President Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the Annual General Meeting of the NAS

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan participated in the Annual General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia and delivered a speech.

In his remarks, President Khachaturyan highlighted the vital role of the National Academy of Sciences as the center of scientific thought in the country, emphasizing its key importance within the framework of national development strategy.

The President specifically addressed the scientific and societal challenges facing the Academy, as well as the need to introduce new mechanisms for effective governance and collaboration.

He stressed that in the modern world, science is inseparable from national security, economic development, environmental, and technological advancement. In this context, President Khachaturyan spoke about the principles underlying the ongoing reforms in the academic field, noting that they are aimed at enhancing the international competitiveness and innovative potential of Armenian science.

During his speech, the President also underlined the importance of engaging young scientists, encouraging innovative approaches in research, and establishing a strong connection between science and the economy.
