President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Professor Federico Vigevano

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received Professor Federico Vigevano, the “Epilepsy Ambassador,” Professor of Neurology and Psychiatry, and Head of the Developmental Age Disabilities Department at San Raffaele Institute in Rome.

During his three-day visit, Professor Vigevano familiarized himself with the capabilities of pediatric medical institutions, participated in the discussion of complex clinical cases, and conducted consultations for patients.

During a solemn ceremony held at the “Soldier’s House,” Professor Vigevano was awarded the honorary title of “Visiting Professor” of the “Muratsan” University Hospital of Yerevan State Medical University.

President Khachaturyan welcomed Professor Vigevano and expressed his gratitude for visiting Armenia and sharing his valuable professional experience.

In turn, Professor Vigevano thanked for the warm reception and words of appreciation. He noted that during the visit he had meetings with Armenian specialists and highly valued their professional competence. The professor emphasized that he is actively involved in educational activities and is ready to support Armenian youth by offering opportunities for study and professional development in Rome.

In his remarks, President Khachaturyan expressed hope that in the future the Armenian side will again have the opportunity to host the renowned professor.

During the conversation, issues related to the modernization of the healthcare sector, the development of medical technologies, and various organizational issues in the field were discussed.
