China’s Newly Appointed Ambassador in Armenia presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan

The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Armenia, Li Xinwei, presented his credentials to the President of the Republic, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The President congratulated the newly appointed ambassador and expressed hope that his work would contribute to further expanding the cooperation between the two countries, encompassing new spheres.

“Armenia-China relations are among the priorities of our foreign policy. Our friendly and traditional relations also obligate us to further develop and expand our cooperation, based on our centuries-old traditions, and to create new opportunities for our countries and peoples to better know one another, to cooperate, and to foster friendship,”
said the President.

Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome and kind words, the newly appointed ambassador emphasized that he will spare no effort to expand the Armenia-China partnership.

“Armenia is one of China’s important partners, and I will do everything within my capacity to further expand cooperation between our countries,” said the ambassador.

During the meeting, the sides thoroughly discussed the potential for economic cooperation between the two countries, noting that steps must be taken to fully realize that potential. The importance of effective and continuous cooperation at various levels was emphasized, as it can create a strong foundation for the further deepening of bilateral relations.

The President stressed the necessity of high-level contacts and active political dialogue as key factors in strengthening bilateral relations. Special attention was given to the development of parliamentary diplomacy, which was viewed as a new platform for dialogue aimed at expanding cooperation in various fields.

During the conversation, the availability of direct flights between Armenia and China was positively assessed, being considered a practical step that contributes to the deepening of political, economic, cultural, and tourism ties.
