The President of the Republic received Amazon Web Services Vice President Jeff Barr

President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan today received Jeff Barr, Vice President of Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Welcoming the guest, President Khachaturyan highly valued Armenia’s cooperation with Amazon, a global technological giant, emphasizing its importance for the country’s digital agenda, the development of high technologies, and the formation of an innovative environment.

The President thanked Mr. Barr for his visit to Armenia, noting that such high-level interactions are significant for expanding bilateral cooperation.

In turn, Jeff Barr expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the opportunity for an effective dialogue, stressing that cooperation with Armenia already has tangible results and continues to grow. He noted that Amazon Web Services is interested in deepening its partnership with Armenia, particularly in the fields of high technologies, educational initiatives, and innovative solutions.

During the meeting, the opportunities of implementing joint programs in the areas of digitalization, artificial intelligence, data management, and related fields were discussed. The sides also touched upon the prospects for developing new initiatives and projects aimed at contributing to the full realization of Armenia’s technological potential.
