A Solemn Award Ceremony took place at the Presidential Residence
By decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, on the occasion of Republic Day, a group of citizens were awarded high state honors.
The solemn ceremony, which took place at the residence of the President of the Republic, was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, and other high-ranking officials.
President Khachaturyan congratulated everyone on the occasion of Republic Day:
“I warmly congratulate all of you on May 28, Republic Day, as well as on being awarded the high state honors of the Republic of Armenia.
On this day in 1918, the Armenian people reaffirmed their united will to have a distinct place on the political map of the world by founding the First Republic of Armenia.
Despite its short-lived existence, the First Republic had an invaluable impact on our national path, becoming an experience in statehood establishment and a pillar for the principles of freedom and sovereignty.
The First Republic demonstrated by example that even in the most difficult circumstances, it is possible to establish a state with one’s own strength. Today, we continue our struggle for the independence and sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, for the preservation of the freedom and identity of our citizens, and for the strengthening of our state foundations.
Without dedicated individuals, without the selfless and patriotic work of certain people, and without the support and collective efforts of the state, it would be impossible to overcome existing challenges and move forward.
On this significant day, we renew our appreciation for the foundations of our statehood and for those individuals who, with their unwavering dedication and professionalism, strengthen our republic. Your work, full of responsibility, awareness, and consistency, is highly valued at the state level because it serves the public good, national progress, and our shared goals.
The path to making Armenia a strong state begins with such people, those who are devoted to their profession, who work humbly and persistently, and who understand that true results are shaped through daily effort and continuous dedication. Whether you work in public administration, science, education, culture, the economy, healthcare, or another field, your contribution is of great value to the development of our society and state.
A strong and stable state can only be built by a society in which each member understands their role and strives to be more effective, knowledgeable, and prepared.
May these awards be not only a sign of appreciation but also a source of new inspiration to continue your path with the same dedication and responsibility for the benefit of our country and people.
I congratulate you on receiving the high state honors of the Republic of Armenia. I wish you health, strength, new successes, and a peaceful and secure future.”
