The Newly Appointed Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Armenia presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Armenia, Muhammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan, presented his credentials to President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the ambassador on assuming office and expressed hope that during his tenure, Armenian-Kuwaiti relations would acquire new substance and quality in various areas.
The President emphasized the importance of relations between Armenia and Kuwait, highlighting the deep historical and cultural commonalities that have been shaped through centuries of interaction between the Armenian and Arab peoples.
“The State of Kuwait is a friendly and reliable partner for us. The diplomatic relations between our countries, with a history of more than 30 years, have created a stable environment for cooperation. I am confident that during Your tenure these relations will further develop and deepen in various fields,” President Khachaturyan noted.
The newly appointed ambassador of Kuwait, Muhammad Tareq Ali Al-Oraifan, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and said: “I am pleased by the opportunity to meet. Allow me to convey the warm greetings of the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. I would like to assure You that during my tenure I will make every effort to further develop and deepen the bilateral relations between our countries.”
In turn, the President asked the ambassador to convey his best wishes and warm regards to the Emir, as well as his wishes for peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Kuwait.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of high-level mutual visits as a key direction for deepening and strengthening bilateral relations. The necessity of ensuring the continuity and regularity of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Kuwait was also highlighted.
The potential for joint cultural initiatives was underlined, with specific reference to the important role of the Armenian community in Kuwait as a cultural bridge between the two peoples.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on the prospects for promoting parliamentary diplomacy, aimed at deepening dialogue and strengthening the legal framework between the two countries.
Special attention was given to the potential for simplifying the visa procedures for Armenian citizens traveling to Kuwait, which would contribute to the strengthening of people-to-people ties and an increase in mutual visits.
Both sides emphasized the need to fully realize the existing cooperation potential, with special focus on tourism, education, sports tourism, and the importance of expanding and continuing student exchange programs.
